I recognise that many downloaded Program files are directed to the (x86) version and am happy with those.

However, since my files were reloaded from Dell Local Backup after a factory reset I notice ( blind before maybe ) that some  folder with very Microsoft look names e.g. Windows NT, Internet Explorer are listed in both, while e.g. CANON s in program files. The contemts of the two folders are not always identical.

Does it look like something may have gone amiss, or am I being paranoid? Without a second reset is there a way to correct?

Nothing to worry about it is perfectly normal.
