I printed off the key stroke actions and it will probably take me longer to learn them than if I was learning to fly a B747.

Paul,
What didn't work?
The link?  I had troubles with it earlier and it would not open just now but when I Googled 'Google Earth Flight Sim' I got it to open from the search list.
Try this one too:
http://tinyurl.com/yvu7ub

Remember, you need G Earth 4 for it to work.
Some times the flt sim opens with Ctrl + Alt + A and sometimes with Ctrl + Win Key + A.
Keep trying, it does appear if you have the latest version .

I must apologise.....
The download link in the Blog that I linked to in the first post:
http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html
DOES NOT work when you click on the Agree & Download button.

If you need the latest version 'to learn to fly' you can get it, v4.2.0198 from File hippo
http://www.filehippo.com/download_google_earth/

Once again, Sorry, but I already had the update and so had not tried the link.

Kitz,

Residents Over Wyre and in the Lake District are checking their home insurance policies as I type.

I think a little more practice is required.

Try to remember to dangle the wheels under the plane before aiming for that black strip of 'road'

I think the instructor meant to leave the brake OFF until you are actually on the ground and then apply it gently.

You are getting there.

roflmao - brilliant

I think after my disasterous attempts yesterday I will leave flying well alone.
Im not sure I got the hang on things properly  (ok probably didnt bother to read the flight instruction guide)...
but I just couldnt fathom out why when I wanted to go UP - I had to press the down arrow key and vice versa.
Result as the plane was loosing altitude, my natural instinct was to quickly press the up key..
CRASHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

so Ive hung up my captains hat and residents of Blackpool and Fylde are safe again.

Kitz,
Your reputation as a second Biggles has even reached London.

lol ;D

naw... that cant be me, there must another kitz klone pilot somewhere.

I could only navigate in a northerly direction.  If I tried to turn in any other direction I either crashed somewhere up the wyre estury or in the Irish Sea.
London was safe - anywhere North was not. :'(
