D-Link DSL 2680 router
« on: March 21, 2011, 10:52:29 AM »

As my Netgear may have failed - massive errors and resyncs last night I replaced it with a Plusnet badged DSL 2680 and it seems to be working OK but I am a bit concerned about the log which has this
1/1/2000 0:44:12> netMakeChannDial: err=-3000 rn_p=805f1110
1/1/2000 0:44:34> Last errorlog repeat 2 Times
1/1/2000 0:49:26> netMakeChannDial: err=-3000 rn_p=805f1110
1/1/2000 0:52:58> Last errorlog repeat 44 Times
1/1/2000 0:54:15> netMakeChannDial: err=-3000 rn_p=805f1110
1/1/2000 0:55:34> Last errorlog repeat 14 Times
1/1/2000 0:56:39> netMakeChannDial: err=-3000 rn_p=805f1110
1/1/2000 1:0:10> Last errorlog repeat 89 Times
1/1/2000 1:0:29> netMakeChannDial: err=-3000 rn_p=805f1110
1/1/2000 1:1:0> Last errorlog repeat 57 Times
1/1/2000 1:1:0> netMakeChannDial: err=-3000 rn_p=805f1110
1/1/2000 1:4:27> Last errorlog repeat 79 Times

Does anyone have any idea what it means given that I am not seeing any PPP drops

Please ignore - it turns out that the default NTP server was 0.0.0.0 and it was trying to connect to it.
I changed it to use the computer time clock (a very nice feature) and all is now OK with no errors
