Child of THREE treated in hospital for alcohol abuse after being fed drink for months

Quote
A three-year-old believed to be Britain's youngest alcoholic has been treated in hospital, it was revealed today.

The unnamed toddler, from the West Midlands, was given alcohol regularly for more than six months.

Experts say the child would have suffered terrible withdrawal symptoms including shakes and mood swings.

There are also fears the youngster may have brain damage.

It was among 13 children under the age of 12 to be diagnosed as an alcoholic by the Heart of England NHS Trust between 2008 and 2010........... (more)

Some folk should not be allowed to breed ................

The parent/s should be locked up  >:(

Sadly this is becoming a regular occurrence these days, especially amongst young girls

What on earth is this society coming to. I am absolutely astounded.
It is easy to say the parents should be locked up, but how did they get like this in the first place? Of course they should never be allowed to have children under their care.

It just beggars belief.

Goodness  :o  isn't that just horrifying !    :(

We have some very good friends, a couple in the UK, who tried for years to adopt a child,  being unable to conceive.   They were finally refused because it was the second marriage for the wife  !!   Eventually they travelled to China and successfully, after almost two years, adopted a beautiful baby girl.  A couple of years later they went though the same procedure for a second beautiful daughter.  A lovelier family you couldn't wish for.

It's a pity the same strict conditions don't apply to avoid feckless parenting, as is the case in this instance.
