Static IP on residential BT Infinity
« on: January 21, 2011, 05:49:08 PM »

I'm pretty certain you can't order static IPs on the residential BT Infinity products, but the BT sales guy that rang the other night said I could have it for a one off fee of £40.

Is this bulls**t just  to get me to sign?  :-\

Hi Des,

I suggest you ask the questions of some of the other ISPs selling the wholesale product such as Zen:-

Kind regards,
Walter

hmmm..  one off fee of £40?

Im probing my memory here back to when BT first introduced RIN with Plusnet.. and I when looking at the wholesale pricing lists, I recall there are options for ISPs to be able to offer static IPs.. and it worked out pretty expensive.

So due to the fact that BTr rely totally on BTw products....
and the fact that its £5 pm + VaT for business customers... I doubt it. :/

ADSL24 provide static IP with their FTTC packages. http://adsl24.co.uk/broadband/fibre/
