I assume that you have bought your 1 BT share and turn up to ask embarrassing questions at the AGM.

Cheers,

I was reading this yesterday:

Quote
Anthony Walker, the Chief Executive of the BSG said:

“There’s a lot of work going on, but it’s complicated and there’s a lot to learn still about what the best and most effective approaches will be.
It’s important to recognise that nobody’s really done this before in terms of building out next-generation networks into challenging rural locations and therefore it takes time to work out how to get it right.”

The don't have's and the slow stay slow but the have's and fast get faster.

Gentlefolk,

It appears we're being held to ransom by the vagaries of the incumbent.
The clock is still ticking and the lines don't get better.

Exit, muttering sweet somethings about highly devious monopolistic behaviour !

Could you do a FOI request?

Are they a government organisation?

There are several Non Disclosure Agreements in place and we have enough real problems to deal with !

One day somebody will no doubt address the problem and patience is always a virtue !
After all I've only been seriously trying since winter of 2008.

Kind regards,
Walter

Gentlefolk,

This is another “Are you sitting comfortably ? ... Then I’ll begin ...”

Firstly stir the old grey cells’ memories by reading this:-

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-11287904

Then ask whether the intention there was to benefit 80 homes with a sub-standard ADSL1 service instead of a new VDSL2 cabinet or whether it might also have been to annihilate a minnow ?

Now read this:-

http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/s/2090050_ewhurst_stuck_in_superhighway_slow_lane

and then ask yourselves what national benefit was obtained by squandering public sector money for about a year on a preliminary and then a full RDPE Grant invitation, as well as our very significant effort ?
Perhaps then ask what long term benefit can there be from a dead end solution without any universal service obligation on noisy copper and aluminium D side lines to nearly 4 km, much of which is buried unducted ?

Finally top it off with a bit of gut-wrenching hilarity:-

http://www.computerweekly.com/Articles/2011/03/24/246061/include-community-broadband-networks-vaizey-urges-counties.html

Does anybody in authority have any real idea what they are up to or where this nation is going ?
Some might even recall the “Communications rail crash” from my Parliamentary submission during the last parliament !

Kind regards,
Walter
