Yes, that looks very good value. It's bigger than I have use for, otherwise I would be thinking seriously about it.

Very poor weatherproofing..........your gear will get wet quite quickly.

Nearly all the reviews of people who have one are 5* ......... ???

Perhaps no one goes out taking photo's in the rain.  ;D

I suppose that if it starts raining while you're out on a photographic hike it would quickly become an issue. For £22 you can't expect too much. :)

How about this one:

Lowepro Slingshot 302AW - Amazon - £34.50

It has a waterproof coverall in the bottom pocket.

Yes that's the one,or the slightly smaller 190.

Another I might consider is the Tamrac System 6

http://www.harrisoncameras.co.uk/Shop/Bags+and+Cases/Tamrac+Bags/Tamrac+Shoulder+Bags/Tamrac+System+6+Black+Camera+Shoulder+Bag+5606_TAMR-17237.htm

I am using a Tamrac shoulder bag at present, but its just not big enough

The main reason I don't like the slingshot is when you swing the bag in front of you,the access to the camera is at the front, not  at the top(looking down on it).

That's a good point about the slingshot. I've been looking on and off for a more capacious shoulder bag for some time, but there's definitely a limit on how much weight I'm prepared to carry around, so for the moment I'm using a small bag with just one superzoom lens attached.

I am thinking of buying my first digital SLR and the weight is one of the issues I have been thinking about and why I have been looking at bags.

Having got both a Lowepro and a Tamrac bag,imo the Lowepro is better finished off inside.
