What really cheeses me off is when produce has to be (quite rightly) measured and priced in metric (as per several European directives), and supermarkets insist on packaging minced beef in 454 gram packs, instead of rounding it up to a sensible 500... it's as if they are trying to hang on to imperial quantities regardless. If the 1970's labour government hadn't backed down on going completely metric, we would've got used to metric quantities years ago.
