Subject: Planned 21CN BT Network Maintenance - Monday 22nd November 11.00pm-Tuesday 23rd November 6.00am

When's this work happening?
Tonight and early tomorrow morning, 23rd November.

What does it affect?
Broadband connectivity

How long will it take?
About six hours.

What does the work involve?
Our suppliers are carrying out maintenance at one of their interconnect sites (Stepney). The work is being carried out to increase capacity and resilience and allow for more edge routers to be connected to the network.

Am I likely to notice the work?
There will be a complete service outage affecting parts of BT's 21CN broadband network that will last up to six hours. During this time customers affected by the work are likely to experience connectivity problems, data transfer issues and BT Wholesale branded landing pages when trying to access the Internet.

Subject: Planned 20CN BT Network Maintenance - Tuesday 23rd November Midnight-6.00am

When's this work happening?
Early Tomorrow morning, 23rd November.

What does it affect?
Broadband connectivity.

How long will it take?
Up to six hours.

What does the work involve?
We've received notification from our suppliers about multiple maintenance works that are scheduled to take place across various parts of the country early on Tuesday morning. Each individual job affects a relatively small number of our customers, however the total number of circuits affected is in the thousands. Because of this we've taken the decision to post this planned maintenance notice.

Am I likely to notice the work?
Possibly. There are approximately 6,000 customers who could potentially see a 2 hour outage at some point during the maintenance window.

Is there anything else I need to know?
Any customers having problems connecting once the maintenance is complete are advised to switch off their broadband equipment for 30 minutes before powering it back up and attempting to reconnect.

Hi,
My ISP is currently (22 Nov 10) advertising outages on several other dates in November and December.

Whether it affects me is not explained. I assume not too much as I'm on LLU.
Cheers,
Peter
