Technology's Hidden Past
« on: August 24, 2007, 09:18:39 PM »

Some snippets about a possible expansion of the Science Museum.

I bet Concrete Bob (page 9) was a train spotter in a previous life.  ;D ;D

Heres hoping it gets the lottery money, it will make a fantastic dayout for all the family.

The science museum has always been a great place to visit. I used to go to Imperial College (just up the road) mumble, mumble years ago, and we all used to go to the science museum over and over again.

Watch it or I'll be round with my crew if you say any more about rail enthusiasts.   :shoot: :shoot:

Glenfinnan Viaduct recognisable to many having been used in the Harry Potter series, for more info see this link.

You won't get any rude remarks from me about rail enthusiasts. I'm fascinated by steam engines, although I've never actually got involved directly. There's a series called 'Southern Steam' on the Horse & Country TV channel which I've been watching avidly since it started. One of its very first episodes dealt with the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch line which is just down the road from here.

"Glenfinnan Viaduct"

Been over it and fished under it. Under it wasn't so good as the gamekeeper decided to chase us. It was only a trout river too :(
