Visit to deer park
« on: November 04, 2010, 07:06:28 PM »

I think I mentioned recently that there's a deer park near where I live. It's private and a bit off the beaten track, but there's a public footpath through the middle of it, and it's a beautiful, peaceful place to visit. I went there today and took a few pictures.

Lovely 'photos Eric  ....   I love the autumn colours on that bush  ..... and the pheasant   ( we ate his wife last night ....   but she wasn't as beautiful as he is  ;D ) .   My favourite, well it's hard to choose really, but I love the 'tree' in the first one  ....   what's the expression for a tree like that ?     is it a petrified tree  ???   and the stag    .....wow  !!!    I just love them all.   :)

A stunning set of photos Eric, the views are very well thought out. Did you take the shot of the stag rather hurriedly, I would have done. He looks as interested in you as you were in him. In the first picture the branch that is propped up against the side of the tree looks like a rather large stick insect.
I wait for the professional write up with anticipation.

Yes, I didn't think he would hold that pose for long, so I did take it rather hurriedly, and it's not sharp. But I felt that I couldn't visit a deer park and not come back with a picture of a stag, so I included it in the set. :)
