There is obviously some deterioration on the line... which may even be caused by
REIN.
Im not sure if
routerstats will work with your router, but it may be worth closely monitoring your stats for a while if you can.
The normal course of events would be check your own wiring as per the troubleshooting guide. Check to see if your (voice) phone line is noisy.
In the UK there are two paths to take.
1) Your TelCo if the line is noisy.
2) Your ISP if its something like REIN which is causing the problem.
Changing the pair is something that can only be done by the TelCo engineers, but more often they find a physical fault on the line first which is repaired. The most common being something like an oxydised joint.
