This is a useful tool for trying a Linux distro or can be used for installing most Linux distro's to the hard drive, it saves burning a CD image, you just use a USB memory stick to put the distro on then you can use it in any computer that will boot from a USB stick.
The memory stick should have a  bootable partition and I format mine to FAT16 as older computers like that  ;)
It can be used on Linux or Microsoft computer.
