DG834GT Block Sites Questions
« on: October 02, 2010, 01:52:08 PM »

Hello everyone

I am trying to no avail, to block some domain names and a few keywords on the 'block sites' feature of my netgear router. I have followed all the instructions and set the schedule to always and added all the sites I want to ban my two teenage ratbags from using but it just doesn't seem to be working the sites still open up when I visit them, what am I doing wrong? I've been trying for nearly an hour and I don't know what I'm doing wrong, is there some other setting I need to alter

Many thanks for any input  :)

Thanks for the replies guys, I have gone to opendns and managed to block the sites, many thanks for the link to the earlier thread jeff, I think it must be a firmware issue.

Hi Rachael,

Here's a thread that might shed some light on the mysteries of router firmware.

Aren't young people such nice things to have around !

Kind regards,

Failing that use the hosts file on each computer.

They wont find out very easy how to turn it off.

Worked here first time (www.bbc.co.uk): DG834GT with DGteam V1.03.22 - Rev. 1014
