My router is a DGN2000, the stats are
Connection Speed down 8375kpbs up 1020kbps
Line Attenuation down 46.5db up 25.5db
Noise Margin 5.0db up 8.6db
Distance to exchange is about 3k.

Actually you're doing surprisingly well. If you enter your downstream attenuation into the
max speed calculator
you'll see that you're getting a lot more than might be expected. You must have a very clean line.
