Nice one! There's also a plethora of online testing tools at http://www.dslreports.com/tools (although the port scanner seems to be offline at this moment).

And another free antivirus system, but only for Unix/Linux systems, is http://www.clamav.net/

Ones I have used on windows machines are AVG. ZoneAlarm, SpywareBlaster, A-Squared, Adaware, SpyBot,
All Free Never had any problems at home or the school I used to look after.

Re Eric ..."And another free antivirus system, but only for Unix/Linux systems"

Another one is 'ClamWin'  http://www.clamwin.com/
I have it on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server !.   or you can use it on Unix/Linux

Michael.

Cool, didn't realise there was a Win32 port

It's worth pointing out from the site that "ClamWin Free Antivirus does not include an on-access real-time scanner. You need to manually scan a file in order to detect a virus or spyware."

orainsear:
ESET have a decent online scanner now too.
