Seems to have settled down a bit.
Connection speed shows as 3400
Speed tests show a stable speed of about 2400 down, which is better than the previous speeds on the fixed connection, but not that much better (about 420K)
.
Just looked at the DG834 Log and see this:

I have no idea what this means, should I worry, should I care
?
What is LCP anyway?
I tried Google and there seems to be a lot of people asking the same question, but the answers are many and varied. Most seem to blame Microfilters, but I don't have any of them connected, the RJ45(11?) cable goes from the router straight into the BT ADSL faceplace. The only thing that has changed around here is that it has stopped raining.
If there is an equipment fault then it can only be the router or the cable, can't it. Otherwise it's over to BT.
Speaking of BT, No 1 Daughter is having horrendous problems. They have 2 lines into the house and would like to tranfer the ADSL from No 1 Line (the original) to no 2 Line. No 1 Line would then be disconnected. There are good reasons for this which are far to complicated to go into here (No 1 Line was for a business).
BT can't set up ADSL on No 2 Line because there are flags on the line indicating that BT have already set ADSL. BT say they are not their flags but belong to a 3rd party provider. The Organisation that administers the flags say they are BT flags and can quote all the relevant reference Nos. BT say they have no trace and therefore can't remove the flags
. She has been spending up to 4 hours on the phone at a time for the last 2 weeks trying to sort this one out.
My head hurts.
