Router Log??
« on: July 09, 2010, 08:56:21 PM »

Hi

Something odd about my router log .

I checked my router log today to see why I had lost PPP yesterday evening . The odd thing is The records I expected were not there . I should have details of about 6 days since my last reboot of router . No info was there except for lots of UDP entries all other data is missing  see attached .

anyone any Ideas ?

Regards Jeff

Are you using the DGTeam firmware? The reason I ask is that I have a DG834GT with the latest DGTeam firmware, and I see that the log came to an abrupt end a few days ago, instead of rotating as I think it's supposed to do.

That's a bit puzzling then. I presume that you have the box labelled 'Router operation' ticked on the logs page?

Hi  :)

Had a big DOS Attack last night at about 9pm.
Found it in the router log this morning  :(

Just presumed it was something to do with my sons Xbox.
However!
The Netgear I'm Using Now... seems to get a lot less DOS Attacks than my old Netgear did.

My old Netgear used to get tons of DOS attacks.
Again!
Just used to think it was my sons Xbox or PS3.
Wasn't till I got the router I'm using now - & - The dos attacks became much less frequent...
That I started to wonder what was going on with my old Netgear  :-\

Hate it when I get DOS Attacked just as I've rebooted the router.
Can always tell...  Coz the internet light doesn't stop flashing!
Heard it's when you get the second hand IP address of a Gamer .. Don't know how true that is  ::)
