Hoping all are well on this glorious summers day......sun, blue skies, nice and warm.

The grass has sprouted again so TD will have to do a bit of mowing today. Have been eyeing up one of my flowering cherry trees....it's getting too big and some of the branches are in danger of fouling the telephone wires   ....so, come early winter, will have to get up there and lop them off.......not sure how I can get up to them, but will work out something.

Pottering today.......feel like having a trundle with the electric picture making machine.

Have fun, whatever you are getting up to.

Nothing much planned today after a fun packed afternoon at the hospital yesterday with Sue,she's not too well at present.

Yes the grey skies are with me as well in Yorkshire. Looks like it's back to normal summer weather now for a while.

@TD at least you'll have cherries for later on.

I hope Sue is feeling better soon UncleUB. 

Still not fit enough myself for the DIY although I have been deep sea diving again this morning. Quite riveting stuff this oil drilling gear. These robo's are rather like playing games in the arcades. Clever guys that are manipulating them. Off back down for another butchers.

Not a great day for weather in Berkshire this morning, great for the garden though! Mrs. T is still not well so still stressed about that, results in 4 weeks... sighs at the NHS.

Good morning all.

Best wishes to Sue and Mrs T. I hope you're both soon feeling like spring chickens again.

Yesterday, after weeks of drought, the heavens opened, the roads flooded, and drains overflowed. It started while we were in Tescos, and we enjoyed the spectacle of felt sorry for lots of people in summer uniform (shorts and T-shirts) getting soaked as they paddled back to their cars. It came down so hard that most of it probably ran straight off the surface before it had a chance to soak into the ground, but it's raining again today, so I guess we can say that gardens have had a good wetting now.

Strangely enough there was a duck sitting in the vineyard this morning      Unc's explained it !! 

Glad you have the sunshine TD      I think I'd use a 'man who does' to tackle the cherry tree  ...... our  'Monsieur  who does' came yesterday - a few days later than expected ..  but in this heat we were lucky he came yesterday  ....   hubby has stopped climbing ladders and won't let me  (think of the paperwork  )  so we always ask him to deal with the bigger jobs.
