user admin logged out : router admin logged in. Er?
« on: July 21, 2010, 10:05:19 AM »

Here's something I don't get. Another education lesson needed ;)

At times when I'm in dreamland the Router log page in Routerstats has entries
"user admin logged out/in 192.168.xx.x"

How come?

The Routerstats program itself needs to log in to your router to access the data and the login/logouts are probably a result of this.

Are all the entries from the same IP address?

>> Yes, 192.168.1.64

If thats the same IP address as the one allocated to the PC which routerstats is running on then I wouldnt worry too much about it.
The login is coming from inside your own network.
The only thing to look for is an IP that could perhaps be allocated to a wireless device, such as a neighbour 'borrowing some bandwidth'.
