Good morning, and I hope all are well and ready for the off.
Another hot day coming.......wall to wall blue sky, sun beaming down and sundry locals all shouting..."phew"
We have had no appreciable rain since February.........the ground is so dry that the grass is dying and going a nasty brown colour ( no mowing to be done
), the rivers are at a low ebb and the resevoirs are empty..the beds are cracking so the next rain ( and there is none forecast) will just disappear.
Water pressure in the house is almost nil, just a dribble, and it is taking three or four minutes to refill the toilet cistern.
I cant remember a summer as dry as this, and we are only now arriving at the mid-summer point......what it will be like by August, I shudder to think.
Enough moaning, pottering and resting today.........and hoping that you will enjoy yourselves whatever you are getting up to.
