Is Xilo any good?

(1/1)

jaydog:
£16.16 a month for 25GB downloads, and no traffic shaping...

Are they a good ISP? Or is there another one which is better for around the same price?

waltergmw:
Hi yet again Jaydog,

It's a case of paying your money and taking your choice. See:-

http://www.ispreview.co.uk/review/products/726.html

and then compare others there. Before you choose do check the contract length in the Ts & Cs.

Check this site too:-

Kind regards,
Walter

BritBrat:
I have never used them but on the O2 forum a lot of members have reported a good service.

Before you move take a look at Zens deals after June 1st.
http://www.zen.co.uk/about/doubling-broadband-usage-allowances.aspx

Zen Lite 10GB £17.99

Active 50GB - £24.99

Pro 100GB £34.99

Upload does not count and no port blocking, traffic shaping or any FUP.

--- Quote ---Double means double - we say no to Fair Usage Polices or traffic shaping

We do not implement a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) or traffic shaping as we believe they are misleading for customers. All our services have broadband usage allowances which are clearly stated when you order the service. You can therefore choose the product you require depending on how you intend to use your broadband service.

By having usage allowances on our service we are being up front and honest rather than hiding them in an FUP.

I am with Xilo but on their LLU service via C&W. On the service I am on, they are resellers.

I cannot comment on the service you want to subscribe to but their tech support is very good. I had a tiny issue after joining, phone was answered quickly and problem dealt with immediately. Others, who are with this isp say that tech support is also fantastic.

I was previously with Fast.co.uk whose tech support was fantastic and I would have to say that Xilo/Uno are just as good in that area.

Good Luck
