Toolstation
« on: March 09, 2010, 10:17:23 AM »

Just thought I would share this site with everyone.

If you need stuff for any D.I.Y projects and don't want spend time running around stores then Toolstation is excellent. They are very similar to Screwfix but don't have as big a range of products, but they are cheaper and you only have to spend £10 to qualify for free next day delivery.(Screwfix is £50)

They also have branches all over the country where you can go and pick stuff up over the counter.

I have just placed and order which will be with me tomorrow.

That looks interesting. I hadn't come across them before, but I see there's a branch quite near here, so I'll be going to have a look. Thanks for the information. :)

Yw Eric, send for their free catalogue via their website.  :)

They are similar to Argos the way they work. You go in, look in the catalogue, fill in the order form and then go to the counter. You then wait for your order to be brought out and then you pay. :)

Wonder why they are like Screwfix :)

I think the owner of Toolstation owned Screwfix and sold it to B&Q.

>>> I think the owner of Toolstation owned Screwfix and sold it to B&Q.

And then set up in competition, offering lower prices?
