ALL Google systems are running very very slow today - maybe the links to Google Ads are pulling the forum slower.  It is also taking anything up to 2 minutes for GMail to load.

It would appear to be Google, as other sites that use Google syndicate are suffering as well. Occasionally I will get a blank page here and I have to load the previous page to get the page I want. Refresh doesn't work as I just get a blank page again.

There's another topic on this which I've just posted on ... having had a few glitches over the past couple of day.  I've not received the same page as you TD , just blank mainly when trying to post reply.

My GMail has been having problems today, very slow to load and to receive an incoming email.I have sent some from various other mail accounts and usually the arrive within a couple of seconds.Today It they have taken about a minute or so to arrive.

Also the this site is very slow to load pages at present.

It's OK again now. Something seems to seize up, just for a few minutes. I did notice on this occasion that the main site was unresponsive too.

That does seem to be the case Eric

When I come back to the forum, I always click on  ' show unread posts since last visit'   on a few occasions since yesterday as I say I've had  blank pages,  but I have just made a note of what appeared in the tab heading as it happened again   ...      ttp://forum.kitz php? action =unread' .....     ( the ttp had a 'h' before it but I've missed it off to stop it forming a link )   I don't know if this helps with recognising the problem.  :)

TBH Im not sure where the problem is, not having seen it myself.
AFAIK the server should be fine and I cant see anything on the SS

However, that said Im not around or working on the site anywhere near even half as much as normal.
Im still not very mobile & sitting for a while in the same position hurts my leg after 1/2 hour. On top of that the PC room is still out of action until I get things sorted so Im tending to flit atm without actually doing anything much.

I'll try rig up some test pages to see if I can narrow it down.

Kitz,    please don't you worry yourself with this, just concentrate on getting fully fit again.   If everyone else is having the same problem that I am it's a very small one and I'm sure everyone is happy to just wait; I certainly am.    Sorry that you've  even had to bother about this at all.    :flower:

I've been in and out of the forums several times within the last 24 hours and have to say have not noticed any problems and the same again have not noticed any problems with posting (although only a couple of posts)

OK as promised some pages to test various aspects.

http://www.kitz.co.uk/sites/site_tests.htm

Ive included one that checks page load time with google ads for comparison too.  The pages arent meant to look pretty, just there to spew out the relevant info.

If its just the forum thats slow yet the Multiple Query test on the server is still fine..  then its highly likely to be some other external item that I have no control over such as AVs or forum signatures.

Theres also the other thing to consider and that is that it may be transit or a peer-point, or ISP/exchange congestion..
A basic tracert should be used to help diagnose this.

I have had it on and off for quite a few days, I just refresh and it seems to come up OK.

Just to add, "if it helps"

I don't have signatures showing, and (sorry to say) but I also use AddBlock Pro, which is set to block all of the adds on the site.
