Yes, there was some sort of server problem around 22:45 yesterday. I'm afraid I don't know what it was, but it was sorted quite quickly.

Sorry I dont know what this is/was about - only to confirm that it definitely wasnt anything I was doing this time.

However, saying that I have recently been on the phone to my webhosts (renewal time again), who are going to be taking over the domain name from another company and also re-organise & restructure a few things on the server for me.
One of the guys from Vidahost is supposed to be doing all this for me, so I dont know as and when exactly he's doing it.
It looks like the IPStag has gone, but I dont think the structure has been done yet.

I use  Montastic which emails me when the site is down.
I didnt get anything for last night though.

However because I use the free version its not that accurate and only checks every 30mins so its entirely possible it could how been outside their checks.
I'm also not sure how accurate it is either because on a few occasions in the past its told me the site was down... when I knew it wasnt.. but that could be a transatlantic link or soemthing taking a while?

Both webmaster and admin are unattended mail boxes.

They used to get hundreds of spam emails due mail bots/harvesters .... and majorly a really stupid mistake by a company called Kitzleisure, who after going bust, idiotically put a notice up on their site that enquiries any mail should be addressed to kitz.co.uk....  rather than the kitz.uk.com domain which was what they owned.

After plastering the wrong address all over their site without any attempt to disclose the address from spam harvesters it made those 2 addresses totally useless.
That company and site are absolutely nothing to do with me...  and in the end I had to contact their hosts to get it removed.

The contact address I use is web@

I seem to be experiencing the pages on the forum site slowly loading in,it seems to be related to google ads.

It only happens occasionally, why is that?

Not sure - but Ive seen it happening on other sites too.
It could be the google servers, it could be peer points, or it could be the transatlantic links or problems at any of the hops.

This forum is so low to load, so slow when you try to navigate from post to post, when you try to make a post and in all other respects that it is unusable.

Every time I try to post....this is what I get...........( and this is not a real edit, that error report jumped up again as I was posting (attempting to) this.

I'm having similar problems.  Intermittent slowness and occasional blank pages.

It's OK again now. Something seems to seize up, just for a few minutes. I did notice on this occasion that the main site was unresponsive too.
