Hi,
Don't know if you've all spotted the new Met Office "Invent" weather forecast page.
"This area showcases new forecasts and products under development".

I find it pretty impressive.
It now shows forecast precipitation - which can be quite useful at present!

Another website I use for weather has had the preciptation forecast maps for some time,
and you can even put a marker on the map at your own location

I've been quite into weather and forecasting for a few years now. I run a private weather station locally and run my own forecasts for the local area. I often find, quite understandably, that the Met Office forecasts are too general. Broadstairs in particular has a micro climate all its own, my local forecasts run at something like 80% accurate for the first 48 hours of each 5 day forecast which compares favourably with the UKMO and others.

This UKMO page is interesting but they are really playing catch up with other commercial forecasters.
