Surprised After Router Re-Boot
« on: January 16, 2010, 02:11:39 PM »

I use a Netgear DG834GT with DGTeam firmware, and I usually run Routerstats.

Today I powered off the router as I was re-wiring a socket, and then powered on again a few minutes later.

Prior to the power off my SNRM was around 6.8 and after it went up to 7.9dB. Also, the synch speed went up from 3968 to 4385.

Now, I'm not complaining, but I thought that if the SNRM goes up,  the synch speed goes down, and vice versa.

What's the explanation please?

Noise levels vary continuously, and your socket rewiring job may well have changed things too.
