Good morning, and heres hoping all are fighting fit. 

Hoping, too, that the new Helpful Kitizens will have their badges polished up and gleaming ready for Morning Inspection.

Last evening dried up beautifully for the Fireworks Display and it was a success. Thoroughly enjoyed by all, and the wee ones had a ball...entranced by the bangers and rockets, and they all had their sparklers, pop or hot oxo drinks, toffee apples etc. etc................and for once the local bad-lads did nothing to spoil it for the majority 

Grey, drizzly and chilly again and TD won't be venturing too far, indoor pottering is the order of the day.

Cold here and grey atm... but it may brighten later if I can recall what they said on the weather forecast yesterday.

NO FIREWORKS here last night    I wonder what we will have in store tonight and tomorrow then, surely we can't have a firework-free November....summat's up if we do.  Watch this space lol.  Glad the locals lads in your neck of the woods didn't spoil things TD makes things much more pleasant doesn't it.

I'm back!

The laser-work seems to have alleviated the condition somewhat - let's see how it settles down (a little sore at the moment).

Bonfire night here was silent - maybe they are all waiting for the weekend.  We don't seem to have a hooligan element associated with it - quite lucky in that respect.

Rain is forecast here, but hasn't arrived yet, so Maisie and I are going across the fields for soem exercise - you never know, she might just lead me astray and into our favourite hostelry!

Morning all

It's good to see you back, Colin, and good to hear that the treatment seems to have helped.

Bonfire night was silent here too, but the local primary school has got a fireworks event tomorrow.

We're off to Canterbury in a few minutes for lunch with my daughter (she works there) and then a wander round the city.

Good afternoon all.

A bit late today,

went to Meadowhall Shoppping Centre this morning and all that walking left me with a lot of pain inmy legs.

I am trying not to give in and hire one of those electric mobility carts,Sue plays hell with me for not getting one.

Anyway after a couple of hours rest and some pain killers I'm not too bad.

Not a good start in my first day as a 'helpful kitizen'  

@ Eric,hope you have anice day with your daughter. 

@TD,glad you had a nice night,hope you wern't pinching the kiddies toffee apples. 

As Chrissie has said,I also have never known such a quiet Nov 5th and the nights leading up to it....Not complaining though.

@ Colin,once your soreness has gone,hopefully you will see an improvement

Lovely TD,the sunlight against the golden leaves and then the contrasting menacing clouds..

Is that the view from your garden/or is it your garden..........where ever it is ,its lovely,Blue would be in his element there.

That's the first little spot of sun we have seen for quite a few days......didn't last long. 

As you leave by the rear gate, over the little foobridge over the burn and trundle over the sheep filled field for a hundred yards or so and ....voila.

Blue would be more than welcome to have a good snuffle around......he might catch some of the pesky moles that keep digging up the golf course ( just behind the trees to the right.)
