I'm no expert as you know, unkyUb, but it does seem to me that the router is doing it's job just fine. I would be tempted to leave well alone and let it get on with things.

How does your surfing seem, is it noticably speedier than before ?  :)

Hi TD,I agree with you.I'm not one for fiddling.Surfing is a bit speedier and I do notice how quicker pages seem to load (especially image heavy ones).
I know that my speed has dropped from just over 3mb to around 2.5mb,but I'm still very happy with that. :)

I think TD's suggestion is a good one. Give it a week or two, to see how it goes. You can always tweak things later on if you want to - you're not constrained by BT's implementation of DLM any longer.

Hi Oranged,

I didn't reboot the router myself, it automatically resynced.

Yes, that's a quirk of the O2 firmware I understand. That's why I suggested re-syncing at a more suitable time of day because those auto resyncs always seem to occur late in the day or when you're asleep  >:(

Even though you may not have received the "testing is over " message from O2, it does no harm re-syncing during this period (because there's no Big Brother of a DLM watching you).......but it's your choice  :)

If you choose "Restart" from the O2 Wireless Box II menu on the config page, then I understand that shows up so that O2 technical team can see that it's not an "unusual occurrence".  ;) This was proved to me recently when I phoned them re. a disconnection problem.

My O2 router has never been pluged in and in fact it has never been out of the box.

I love my SKY Netger 834GT.

I have had a message from O2 to say that testing is over and everything is fine.

My speed has dropped slightly since 30 Sept, but tbh I didn't expect my line to hold sync at over 3mb.

My router hasn't resynced for nearly three days now and the SN margin seems quite steady.

Thanks guys,

my router did re sync last night  at 21.25.It is slightly better at 871 up/2719 down. The big bonus is having no IP profiles to worry about. If I continue to get around these speeds then I will be well happy. :)
