I have been taking note of my router stats over the last few times when re-syncing my Home Hub 2 router and seem to be seeing a pattern with my low output power giving low connection speeds.
I have re-synced the router 6 times over the last 3 weeks to see if I can improve my current connection to that which I used to get.

1st resync connection was 1184/416 with output power of 1.9dBm/0.9dBm. (noise margin 12.5/6.0)
2nd resync was 1152/448 with output power of 1.9dBm/0.9dBm (tested straight out of BT test socket). (noise margin 12.7/7.0)
3rd resync was 1344/448 with output power of 2.1dBm/0.9dBm (tested straight out of BT test socket with a different adsl filter). (noise margin 13.1/6.0)
4th resync was 1248/416 with output power of 2.0dBm/0.9dBm (tested straight out of BT test socket with the different adsl filter). (noise margin 13.2/6.0)
5th resync was 1056/448 with output power of 1.8dBm/0.9dBm (tested straight out of BT test socket with the different adsl filter). (noise margin 15.9/6.0)
6th resync was 1024/448 with output power of 1.7dBm/0.9dBm (tested straight out of BT test socket with the different adsl filter). (noise margin 13.0/6.0) (4 days 53mins ago)

There seems to be a pattern here. What sets the output power and is it adjustable? I used to have a steady connection of 1856 (IP profile of 1500) until one morning I noticed very slow speeds and started switching off now and again at random times of day to see if I could get the connection rate to improve.

My previous router (Belkin 7632 ver. 8) used to report very low output figures as well. Strangel my line attenuation figures have changed slightly as well (67.3/31.5, 66.5/31.5, 66.8/31.5, 67.2/31.5, 66.7/31.5!)

I have never seen such low output power data for both downstream and upstream. The other data in the router stats looks OK and as you've tried from the test socket and with a new filter the problem almost certainly lies in your local exchange.

You should contact your ISP giving them the data that you've collected.

Are you sure it's not just mis-reporting by a factor of 10? There are plenty of firmware bugs around like that.

Do a sense check and plug your phone number and postcode into the line checker here or at SamKnows and see what speed estimates you get.

Downstream 1,024 Kbps

with attenuation of 67 you could expect 1280Kbps and aline length of at least 4.9 Km. unfortunately cannot give figures for more attenuation. . So you are doing well for your line .see link below

the power output is almost certainly an error in reporting
