Morning all,

Well it certainly cooled down in these parts after Wednesday's heatwave...glad it did too as we managed a few hours out on Thurs.  Much cooler yesterday and looks similar this morning...more of an autumnal feel really....<shudder> not my sort of weather especially as autumn won't be long before it appears (officially).

Hope you all have a good day whatever you're doing and that the weather is good where you are.

It's been a busy week (by my normal standards) so I'm having a quiet day today, with nothing planned other than a gentle ramble.

I wish you hadn't mentioned autumn.

Good morning one and all 

Autumn already  .........it does feel and smell a little like that around here, and my flowering cherry tree are already shedding their leaves, but whether that is a sign of autumn or of the pounding with rain that they have endured, I know not.

We had a grand day yesterday, and TD got a lot of garden tidying up done..........another good day today by the looks of it and the hedges have to be cut. Don't look forward to that, hard work, .........will take two or three days to do that....

Hope all are well and looking forward to their day...have a good one.

 A     Allo Allo from chez nous   ..............  it continues   8)      ......the vines are looking very healthy, grapes on the small side   (lack of rain   -  sorry TD    )  but a lot of them, the prediction is for a smaller quantity but a high quality   .... hope it's another 2005 !   The vendange  (harvest) has started in some white wine areas but our area is usually end of September.   Our own table grapes are almost ready for the picking 

Scotty is a very happy chappy this morning with a big white smile   

How was  the dinner party Eric ?  ...did you save some dessert for the NC   inhabitants ?

TD, Good luck and  take care with the  hedge cutting;   we are at that time of year when the "grass" is brown   and things have stopped growing due to lack of rain ( sorry TD  )   why do weeds not need rain     so my 'gardening' is mainly keeping the potted plants happy !

Have  good Saturday everyone !       I haven't  a planned agenda for today so will just take it as it comes

It went very well, thank you. I wasn't responsible for the dessert - my friend Soo made a delightful summer pudding with home-made ice cream, and I'm afraid we scoffed the lot.

I have been doing a bit of gardening supervision. 

Glad you had a nice party Eric,you will need the new broom to burn off all those calories.
