Well I haven't done it yet......... :( >:(

I was going to pass on my Mac code today to O2,but received a text last Wednesday to say my order has been cancelled as it has been 28 days since placing my order.
So much for O2 saying, don't worry about the mac code, just pass it on when you have it.Nothing about if you don't give it us within 28 days we will cancel your order. >:(
Anyway I have to wait for the old order to clear from the system before I can re order.I was told it will be cleared tomorrow so try again on the 23rd.
I am was hoping to have this tied up before my contract expires on the 1st October............

In the first instance it was O2 who contacted me,not the other way round.

That is not very good service, is it......in fact keeping the fact of order cancellation in these circumstances up their sleeve smacks of extreme naughtiness. And that after you having given them your timetable and they being happy with that.  :(

Still, if they can accept a re-ordering tomorrow....and you pass them your MAC tomorrow....that should be sufficient to release you from any continuance beyond month's end of the BT contract. O2 should be able to migtate you within the remaining seven days.

Just then a question of waiting for the O2 router to arrive...........but even if there is any suggestion of a delay to the router coming, carry on with the migration. A day/ few days without an O2 router but on a O2 contract is still better than another year on a BT contract. If the worse comes to the worse, TD will send you his spare router to keep you going... ;D

These people make it all so difficult, don't they

O2 send routers via DHL Next Day  ;)

Took just under 2 weeks for my neighbour to be switched but she got her activation date next day.

I guess as soon as the activation is set BT have got & processed the MAC code?

Sorry to hear you have been having trouble with O2 Unc, hopefully tomorrow will go smoothly   ;D

Good Luck this time.  :fingers:

Thats very kind Azzaka coming from a rival company. :)

Tbh Zen was one ISP who were on my shortlist, but being on limited income and already having an O2 mobile swayed me to join them

I've been given a connection date of 30th September which is the day before my BT contract expires.I have asked for this to be moved from the 30th to the 1st but no can do as that is the only day the engineer can visit the exchange.

I'm just wondering what penalty (if any) BT will charge me for 1 day?

I have also be told by O2 that my router will be delivered on the 28th.So well done O2 for keeping you informed.
