That definitely looks good, and yes the 64bit vista is definitely worth it :D as vista x64 is very good eveen better with SP1 or the upcoming SP2 that CPU and RAM Combo will handle it for sure and whatever softwares you need plus a Mobility Radeon is perfect if you get bored and decide to a game or two :)

All in all looks excellent and its a dell too :D by the way how much is it ??

If I were you I would hold back a couple of months (October 2009) until Windows7 comes out.

By all accounts it's much better than Vista.

Hi Jamie..........Lucky you,Nice one dad  :)

I have had Dell computers since 1995 and can't really fault them and they have very good after sales and support.

They do change their offers weekly on their website so it is hard knowing 'the right time' to get one.

If you see something that is thrown in as a freebie and it will benefit you then get one, otherwise you will spend your life just looking and waiting for something better to come along.

I would follow OF's advice and if possible wait for W7,these frre upgrades are not as painless as they seem.I know a lot of peole who did the same from XP to Vista had problems upgrading.

Good spec by the way.  ;)

Jamie

I can't offer any advice on the laptop you are looking at.  I would ask however if on your desktop you use the numeric keypad.  I work with figures and use mine all the time and when I purchased a laptop I made the mistake of not getting one with a numeric pad.

If you aren't doing alot of figure work then it may not be a problem to you.
