Saw this news on the BBC web site. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6742439.stm
You can d/l here:

Terry.

Edit:
Well, I tried it but it seems rather unstable and crashed. Also all the menu items were missing, just dashes instead of words so I could not set it up properly.
I would be interested to hear if anyone else tries it out. T

Interesting that it isn't patched properly against url spoofing.

Whilst it doesnt totally obscure the url - many users could still be easily fooled by something that IE patched several years ago... and it still shows up the spoofed microsoft site.

Check url spoofing

Just looked at the K-Meleon forum, seems that others are also having the Missing Menus problem.

It won't run on WinME, now there's a shame  ;D

soms:
Somehow this browser might not offer much competition to the likes of the other browsers out there.

Perhaps if it worked properly, was secure and worked with older versions it might stand a chance.

(without a debate on browser support for old OS it would be nice to have a decent up to date browser which will just work with 95, 98, ME)

It looks like Apple have got mud on their face, it does not work very well at all according to the Register:

You do expect a beta offering to generally work on the whole don't you?
I've got to like all those nice extensions that Firefox offers so I don't think I'll change, even for a bit of (claimed) extra speed.
Terry.
