Linksys WAG54G2
« on: June 15, 2009, 05:12:53 PM »

Hello everybody,

Has anybody poked around with a Linksys WAG54G2 ?

I had a quick look with the browser interface but even the Attenuations and Noise margins seem missing.

Has anybody discovered a CLI document ?

Kind regards,
Walter

Thanks Eric,

Sadly Linksys seem very bad at identifying their modems. It's a new black one that also says Cisco on it.

The closest picture is the WRT 160 N. Unlike earlier models, there's no sign even of attenuation and noise margin let alone any other data.

Kind regards,
Walter

Those routers are notorious for being hard to find the line stats from and are well hidden away :(
Try the same instructions as for the WRT 160N.

Ensure its in bebug mode 1st

Then navigate to

Hi Kitz,

As usual, thanks very much indeed.
I'm delighted to confirm that your instructions worked as shown below (MAC addreses expurgated).

It's also worth recording that this was the ONLY modem I could get to synchronise on a lousy line, even though it was a bit slow synchronising and then took several minutes to authenticate.
The following  modems wouldn't even sync 585V7, DG834GT, & 2Wire.

Does anybody know how to get at the Linksys log?
Also whether this is still the most up to date firmware version(s)

Kind regards,
Walter
