Has the creation of a fault finding flowchart ever been considered?

Would a small set of questions to get as much info as possible in the initial post be of any use? e.g. what are you stats, wiring setup etc?

Also is it possible to create reasonably high quality smiley pictures of things like the NTE5 socket etc for easy insertion into posts?

I'll admit I havent ever got around to doing a flow-chart..  there is a adsl connection problems page which lists basic symptoms and points to possible fault and or pages with the solutions.

Stickies are a good idea and something discussed in the past - Ive just never got around to doing them

Not as smilies as such..  but I may be able to do some custom code which could call up the images.. so for example if you typed {NTE5} but with square brackets[] it may be able to bring up an image.
I'll have a play with that in a bit to see if I can get something to work.
