Power Point Presentations via email
« on: April 07, 2009, 07:17:06 PM »

I suspect I am at the wrong place for this but here goes.

When I receive an email with a Power Point Presentation attached if I open it from the email the photos/pictures are upside down!  Any text attached id displayed normally.

If I save the PPP to disc/desktop it will open from there correctly, but this method is time consuming and annoying.

can anyone offer a solution please.

Hi Jeff,

I was directed to Unflip once before, and I had the same trouble as the guy on that site, PP could not load the Unflip.
I'll try again tomorrow when I'm a bit fresher, thanks for your help.

Its not you or your PC - There is a known issue with any Powerpoint presentations that were created in PowerPoint 2000 or earlier, which appear with flipped/rotated images when opened in newer versions of PPT.

Which version of powerpoint do you have?  If you only have the power-point viewer then I believe theres not much you can do.
However if you do have a full version of powerpoint then the recommended fix is this one
http://skp.mvps.org/unflip.htm

If you are having problems loading the fix, you may temporarily have to lower your security settings as per the instructions further down.

Hi Kitz,

I have the full Microsoft Office 2003 version of Power Point, I have tried the unflip solution but could not induce to open even with the security setting lowered.

OK it looks as if I shall just have to live with it, thanks everyone for your help.

I have a few more irritating little problems, will post later.
