Putting A Signature On A Document.
« on: April 01, 2009, 12:23:51 AM »

How can I put My Signature On A Document. ?

I have tried 'Gimp' but it's not very good using the mouse to do it, there must be an electronic way to do this.

Could you scan your signature or even take a picture of it using your digital camera?

Just a thought :)

I originally "Scanned" my signature and saved it as a .jpg file, then using word I created a default template with the signature set to "move with text"
Now each time I open word, it automatically contains the signature.

If you don't want to do as above, then you will need to "Import Picture" each time you want it in place.

However this will not work with "Notepad" (not sure about Wordpad, but it should work also)

In OpenOffice.org Writer you can insert a picture with Insert --> Picture --> From File.. and when you've inserted it you can drag it wherever you want on the document. If you've got your scanned signature saved a s a .jpg file then that would probably be the simplest way to do it.
