Belkin Stat page
« on: April 11, 2007, 07:36:45 PM »

I have just got myself a Belkin F5D7632-4 ver 5000uk it works ok but I cant get my stats up on it.
The http://192.168.2.1/adsl_status_main.stm  page does not work on it and it also wont telnet in windows via run.
I had a F5D7632-4 ver 3011uk before but gave it to a relitive and http://192.168.2.1/adsl_status_main.stm worked fine on that one.I dont know what the difference is between the two not sur on the chipsets.Cant find away to get my stats at all.Any ideas please?

Hi Postie and welcome to Kitz's forum.

Sorry I can't help you with your question/problem but I'm sure someone here will be able to help.
It looks like they may have all gone down the pub (without me) but I feel sure someone will get back to you soon.

So just hang-on in there.

Hi Postie,

I've been doing a little searching, but I can't find much information at all about this product, so I suppose it's pretty new. Sorry, but I haven't got any bright ideas. :(

I looked round the net for ages but couldn't find anything  this version 5000uk  is rubbish it dosn't seem to do anything,it won't telnet in Windows or axessh don't work and seems you cant get your stats on it.
Anyway the electric supply in my house went off this morning for a few seconds and since the router re started the ADSL connection light has not worked even though I can connect so I took it back to Staples to change. The only Belkin 7632 they had in was version 5000uk so i paid the difference and got a 7633 instead. ;D

Probably a good move. The 7633 seems to enjoy a pretty good reputation. I did have an earlier version of the 7632 myself at one time, but I wasn't very impressed. Please let us know how it goes.

Yup will let you know, but I have messed about so much the last couple of days swapping routers and my old USB BT voyager my profile has dropped from 7150kbps to 7000kbps and then down to 6500kbps so will see what happens to it after 3 days   :(

First impressions though is positive. Its bigger than my old 7632 and works ok from what i can see it however wont telnet in windows same as some other newer Belkins. Also the newer version and firmware which i have wont use the DMT tool here
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://dmt.mhilfe.de/

Not to bothered with that really as I usually get max sync 8128kbps with a 7150kbps profile( first time I have ever seen it drop sync to 8096kbps and profile to 6500kbps on max this )
I do see alot of hidden windows to do various things but wouldnt no where to start with things like that  :D
Plus i dont want to mess round to much with things at the moment I will just let things settle down for now.
