whilst on a similar(ish) topic - dont ever try using a *hair trimmer* on a persian cat.
Chaz frequently gets very matted -even more so this time of year when he starts to shed his winter coat.
and aldi had one of those hair trimmers on special - so I thought it would perhaps be a good idea for using on certain areas on chaz such as the underbelly where he's not so keen on being groomed.
What I didnt quite realise when I set to the task was that persain fur is a lot finer than human hair and rather than trimming the fur - it pulls it out by the roots.
Poor chaz - he wasnt very happy with me
