PM issue
« on: February 23, 2009, 10:44:57 AM »

I wonder if a kind soul could take time to point TD in the right direction.

Yesterday I received a PM from another forum member, and I replied to it via the normal reply box adjoining that message.
My reply does not appear in my "outbox" but the original in message has an anotation to the effect that " I have responded to this message".

Is that usual, or should my reply not have appeared in my outbox...............I'm now not sure as to whether my reply message has gone or not.

Thank you.

Don't you have to tick a  box to say save a sent message?

You are quite correct, and I failed to tick that box.

Thank you.

As HP mentioned it saves the PM if you tick the box.

Alternatively if you want it to automatically save all the PMs you send you can change this in your preferences.

From 'Profile' at the top tab.

Then in the left hand menu under Modify Profile
"Personal Message Options"

Then check "Save a copy of each Personal Message in my outbox by default."
