BRIDGED mode

I have a Sky router and the ports do not work but I can access it through wireless and I was wondering if someone has turned the ports off and it is just in modem state.

Being a Sky router would it be protected by an admin security password?  I have the "admin" "sky" login details and can get into the interface over wireless.

Does anyone know how you can access the modem option on a DG834GT so I can check its state?

On the older DG834G you would use http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?next_file=mode.htm but this does not seem to work on the GT.

Also can you telnet into a router over wireless as this may be another way to see the setup options and give me a chance to change them.

But at the end of the day the modem may just be broken.

Do you want it for use on Sky?
If not, you could try resetting it and reflashing with standard firmware using the recovery utility.

Yeah I know, but.

I need the ports working.

At the end of the day I will try that but I wanted to see if I could get the ports working first.

Tried the Firmware upgrade and it failed.

On the first try it did find the modem MAC so must have talked to the router through the port but the update failed.

I have now done another GT and have the DGteam firmware installed, then from that I found this link for the Modem option.

I can't tell you if it works as I have not tested it over the wireless but I will do later.

Never worked, maybe that option is disabled in the Sky firmware.
