When trying to post in the games area, I get :-

Database error........Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

Despite this, when I go back to the threads, my posts appear as normal.

seems to be a problem with connecting to the DB for some reason... not sure why since the stats look ok and server load is fine.
I'll drop a line to my hosts to see if they know anything.

Ive had a reply - would have been a bit earlier at about 7.15? when they were doing something on the server for a couple of mins and all should be fine now.

heh - seriously though they are very good. I know many other hosting providers just wouldnt bother with queries like that.
Without going dedicated with an SLA which would cost thousands, then I think I do ok
