There probably is, but I don't know what it is. I guess that it will be an apt-cache command, so maybe 'man apt-cache' will reveal the answer.

Update.
I found out the Hard drive on the updated computer was not big enough for all the office data, so I updated the old office computer (that went well  ;D) took out the HDD and put in the other machine, Tried booting up ... 'Boot Failed' (which I expected)
I re-configured the 'menu list' and 'fstab', booted again and all was ok. (now if that was a MS os it would still be throwing up a paddy  :D ).

I now use the old office computer as one of my test machines and just installing PCLinuxOS2009 Beta on it, I have been running the Beta for a week in a virtual machine and it's been working fine.  ;)
