This is a live CD which provides a comprehensive set of tools for managing disk partitions. It's Linux, but don't let that frighten you, because the main partition editor is a friendly GUI program which is very easy to use.

here.Parted Magic is supplied as a CD ISO file which you write to a CD (using the 'write as image' method) and you get a bootable CD which autodetects the hardware and boots into a simple GUI environment. In its default mode it runs completely in memory and ejects the CD after booting, but there are other options for computers with limited memory or other hardware problems. Download pmagic-3.5.iso.zip (73.5 MB) from
here, unzip it and write pmagic-3.5.iso to a CD as an ISO image. Stick it in the CD/DVD drive and boot.
