Northern Rock 'Bonuses'
« on: January 21, 2009, 05:36:00 PM »

It didn't take long to start throwing the taxpayers money about.  >:(

In the wake of all this credit squeeze and people losing their jobs I find this disgusting, especially as Labour condemed bonuses being paid out in the banking private sector.  >:(  >:(

Typical of the ways this  inept government wastes money.
No way should any early repayment of the loan instigate a bonus, that was just bad negotiations/contract.
Was not exactly difficult to pay of some of the loan early...............just cease lending money.
A nice little earner for the directors...............the bonus for one of them will be more than what I earn in a year.
Some things never seem to change for the fat cats.

Yes, very insensitive.  GB has got it wrong it's not a matter for NR, they are still nationalised.  I wish I got a 10% bonus, just for doing my job.

10% bonus for 'working hard',I might be wrong but isn't that what you are suppose to do when you go to work.

And apparantly this is just the start,if the next set of deadlines are met then more bonuses will be paid............in a word Disgusting

According to Dimbleby on BBC's Question Time, only the basic front line staff are getting 10% bonus.
Managerial staff are getting 20%.
Nobody seems quite sure what the executives or directors are getting.

Concerning a question related to the bonus payments on the programme,  Caroline Flint for Labour, just gave a party political broadcast for 5 minutes and ignored the question.
