BTHomeHub on ST Firmware Lights Issue :(
« on: January 19, 2009, 06:17:04 PM »

Hey everyone,
As some of you may know I recently "upgraded" my homehub to use ST firmware a day or 2 ago but only now I noticed the Lights are kind of mucked up eg the Wifi light shows on the Data light  anyone know of a viable fix for this ?

eke sorry imagine - no.
Sounds like a firmware issue.

There are options deep within the CLI to be able to change such things, but I wouldn't even know where to begin.
Best reporting it to the router manufacturer.

I would suggest installing the old again and then trying a reflash.

It is a known side effect of flashing home hubs with ST firmware. The light sequence is now from the left:
Wireless,Phone,Ethernet,Internet,DSL.
Not heard of anyone changing the sequence through a software fix, might be possible to open up the hub and change/re-solder connections to LED`s if you are so inclined.
Also be aware that the default wireless security is off.

I was thinking of entering the main hub settings and editting the light sequence from there but doesn't seem to work but I seem to have worked out what lights indicate what  :)
