Avatar Problem
« on: January 03, 2009, 02:22:27 PM »

I cannot change my avatar while I am using Firefox. When I log back on with IE7 it changes straight away.Any ideas why it won't change with Firefox. The avatars are within the permitted size.

This is probably just due to browser caching. If you refresh the window you'll probably find that it has changed. I had the same experience with FF a while back.

I found since using FF, that after changing settings and thing in general (anywhere on the net) FF needs refreshing to activate the new setting.

And believe you me, it caused a lot of headaches on some sites until I discovered that.

For a more aggressive refresh, try ctrl+F5.

FF does sometimes seem  aggressive with its caching.

In the past Ive torn my hair out wondering why several new pages I uploaded to the site hadnt changed despite me using 'refresh', it was only when I tested in IE that I realised it was FF being silly.
