No, I don't.

It's only a game with simple rules. You are more than welcome to play the game by the rules or to ignore the game as is your choice. What we will not welcome is the game being spoiled for other players.

Er, No, I don't understand !! Are the 'rules' determined by the number of posts one has comitted, or the 'status' of the individual ???

I really do believe that the 'cryptic clues' on this particular game are so open to abuse it's untrue. I'm not trying to "Spoil it", just questioning the rules Duck. I shouldn't have to have an AA Roadmap at my side to answer a cryptic clue, !!!! I regularly attempt the Daily Express Crossword without the need for Atlas's, Roadmaps or the atmospehric pressure graphs of the local hillsides to realise the answer !!!

It all seems a bit 'Our gang' to me. I'm sure you understand. ;D

Please allow me to explain. The idea of this very simple game is to guess where the person setting the clue is. The ensuing clues are not particularly cryptic, although sometimes they are. It's not a game for our clan, it is for any member to take part. Some of the clues are logic some are not. The particiapnts are trying to work out where the OP of the particular clue is. The way to get a turn at providing a clue one has to correctly guess where the OP is. Get it right and you get the chance to put your clue on the board.
It's that simple.  :)

Colin has just about explained it. The only thing I would add is that an atlas and/or an online gazetteer are more or less essential to solve the clues, unless you happen by chance to know the place concerned. I think the misunderstanding is that you believed that the clues are all cryptic and can be solved without an atlas or whatever. That isn't the case.

Please don't be offended - nobody is getting at you, and we would welcome your taking part.

Oooops  sorry ! I've just  realised it's still  my clue you are aiming at  ....  ::) I was a little thrown  !!! :D

Cheers for the explanation roseway/Colin, but i'll bow out all the same. ;D Too many options that could be the answer for my scientific mind. :lol:

I have to admit though, there are some good clues, and Duck appears to be the master of cryptic. :)
