The latest FW 3.1 for this router, mentioned on http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/DSL-G624T.htm is not better than previous versions.
The only noticeable difference is the new user interface which is in my view far less easier to navigate.

More annoying is that the new style user interface does not provide any line stats anymore. Given that the D-Link on my line does frequent re-syncs (5-10 re-syncs in 24 hrs is 'normal') and stalls about once a week completely it may be anyway time for a new router.

Which version of the firmware do you now have installed?  I havent heard that any of the DSL-G624Ts not being able to give line stats.

The latest version on the d-link site is V3.10B01T02.UK-A.20070628

I used to have that router before I got my Dlink DSL-2740B.

I could more than easily get Line Stats.

In the UI, go to the Status tab - they should be displayed there...

Hello,

I came across this thread after a google search. I too experience the same issue as the original poster. My router is the D-Link DSL-G624T model and I have upgraded to the latest firmware. It's listed as V3.10B01T02.UK-A.20070628 on the website, but when you open up the zip file it's named as V3.10B01T02.UK-A.20070523. It's odd, in the user manual for V3.1 of the router, it displays the following under Status --> Device Info:



In my router interface, I only see the following:



Unless I've missed a setting somewhere, something's surely amiss?

I need my router line stats in order to help troubleshoot a problem.

Hi and welcome,

I'm afraid this is a long discontinued router, so you're not likely to get any new firmware for it. There's a thread on the subject here which has links to some different firmware versions, and I can only suggest that you have a look at those to see if they do the job for you.

guys, the interface isn't too different from the 2640B or 2740B....

on the status page, you'll see some headers down the left-hand side of the page, one of which is called "Statistics", one or two above the "Log Out" option.  This is the sub-page that you want for your full line stats

GunJack, I've already tried looking there. All I see is the following:







There's no section detailing the router line stats such as Line Attentuation, SNR Margin and Data Rate.

poss the old version, but scroll to page 39, looks like the line stats are under Status, ADSL Status... got similar in thee updated interface ?? Can't see D-link leaving that info out, prob just hidden it a bit deeper

It looks like the ADSL stats are include with the EU firmware but not with the UK firmware for some reason. Although I haven't uploaded the EU one in case it changes the language!

if it's any help, the EU fw for 2640B is all in english..........
